Preparing for Allergy Season

Allergy season is right around the corner. Taking proactive steps now can help prevent your symptoms from getting out of hand. Follow these helpful tips to stay ahead of seasonal allergies and breathe easier this year.

  • Start allergy medications early. Many treatments work best when started before symptoms begin.
  • Schedule a check-up. Review your allergy plan and update prescriptions if needed.
  • Monitor pollen counts. Limit outdoor exposure on high pollen days.
  • Keep indoor air clean. Use HEPA filters and change air filters regularly.
  • Shower after outdoor exposure. Remove pollen from skin and hair.
  • Wash bedding weekly. Hot water helps eliminate allergens.
  • Stay hydrated. Helps reduce congestion and irritation.
  • Have a treatment plan ready. Know what to do if symptoms worsen.
